All treatments are strictly for women only. We currently do not accept new male patient bookings. Shirodhara is a deeply calming Ayurvedic therapy derived from the Sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow). This traditional treatment involves the continuous pouring of warm, herbal medicated oil onto the forehead to soothe the nervous system and promote deep mental stillness. The treatment begins with a full body Abhyanga massage, using warm Ayurvedic oils tailored to your dosha constitution. This prepares the body for deep relaxation while incorporating cranial and scalp marma point therapy to calm the mind and release tension. Following the massage, warm herbal oil is gently streamed in rhythmic, dosha-specific patterns across the forehead, transitioning from temple to temple before settling into a continuous flow at the centre of the forehead. This profoundly grounding therapy works to quiet mental activity, balance the nervous system, and support emotional clarity and deep restorative rest.
